Lover Passed Away, Sad and Painful
Their marriage was not easy. Their true love could not conquer the attack of illness. In 1999, Rene was diagnosed with cancer. And Celin stopped her singing career and started to take care of her husband.
Under the gentle care of Celin, Rene was getting better at that time. However, when people thought that things were becoming better, Rene’s cancer returned, and he died in 2016.
In Rene’s funeral, we could still see smiles in Celin’s face, and she joked. But she fell into sadness after that. She would even take a heavy sigh, hearing his name.

No one could imagine her sadness when she was standing at the stage. No one knew how strong she should be to confront the misery. In the end, the only thing we knew her husband’s death was such a misery that we never see her in the public for the next two years.
New Stage, New Start
It’s hard to forget the pain of losing someone you love. So did Celin. She spent a whole two years to cure the pain. In 2019, she returned to the public, and we saw her haggard face. People were worrying about her, while she joked, “I am fine, and I don’t need your sympathy.”
In November, her new album--Courage was released, and the song with the same name in the album was a reflection of what she felt at that moment.
